LagoXT provides a robust, direct view into the LAGO database using the QuarkXPress® (XT) or Adobe® InDesign® (CS) page layout application. Page design is made easier by utilizing click-drag-and-drop functionality and automatically updating article information (SKU, pricing and other factual content) as changes are made to the database. This reduces the duplication of effort to input data by multiple users.

The following key features are available in LAGO XT or LAGO CS:

• Full integration into the workflow (jobs list) for the selection and management of tasks
• Display element, article, price and other attribute information in easy to work with palettes
• With proper permissions, edit article (order number), element (product) and pricing information
• Fast and easy access to the image database
• Create grouped elements for managing common copy
• Search the database for components used (text and imagery) from other media
• Manage logos in a hierarchical list or viewed in thumbnail form
• Check-in/check-out process for image processing in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or other image editing programs
• Manage layout variants (versions)
• Component templates (pre-formatted text) are used to control the formatting of text displayed on the page layout (similar to using libraries)
• Placeholder functionality used for the automatic update of factual information as changes are made to the corresponding content in the database
• Correction marks displayed on the page layout that were originally made on the PDF
• Document check – a configurable tool to check for document completeness (i.e. text overflow, more than 40 different tests in total)
• Batch print multiple pages or entire catalogs
• Export catalog documents with all associated imagery included (when sending documents to the printer or for language translation)
