Multichannel with a clearly defined target group of 50+ – does that make any sense at all, one might ask. “You bet it does” is the unequivocal answer from Doris Pauli (authorised signatory and member of the sales management). “We are currently in the process of relaunching our website and are pursuing a clear social media strategy with which we want to clearly address our target group and strengthen their loyalty!”

250,000 articles, 160 attributes per article, two variants, 80,000,000 attributes in total – for e-shops, over 300 mailings a year, numerous other print projects and customer service. That is Emporium Merkator. The tradition-rich company has enjoyed the trust of coin dealers and collectors as well as investors worldwide for more than 40 years – and this is not least due to its extensive and up-to-date product portfolio. “From novelties to rare originals, everything is there. Our assortment is enormously mobile. There are several sources, frequently changing stocks and it can also happen that the same item has to be maintained under different item numbers – for example, because of its condition,” explains Dieter Harms, IT Manager at Emporium, during the conversation in the Hamburg “original”, the Störtebeker House.
